If there is no response after a certain period, the software is restarted, and every effort is made to get it running again. In the worst-case scenario, the watchdog can turn the computer off and on again. This can happen a maximum of once per day to prevent constant shutdowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The second watchdog is a hardware watchdog that must be triggered every 25 minutes, otherwise it cuts off power to the PC. This process is harsh and is generally not intended for regular use; it is only for emergencies.
